Programme: Vladigerov: Variations on a popular bulgarian song, Op. 3, Enescu: Suite no. 2, Bartók: Out of Doors
The composers P. Vladigerov (Bulgaria), G. Enescu (Romania) and B. Bartok (Hungary), each in their own way, focused their attention on traditional music of the geo-cultural areas of Eastern Europe. All three of them accumulated a great musical heritage in folk music, which they then included in the writing of their own works. In this concert dedicated to the music of Bulgaria and Romania, the name of Bartok is presented, who, although Hungarian, also made deep studies and researches in Bulgarian and Romanian areas. In his composition, Out of Doors, technical virtuosity and rhythmic variety demand a great mastery of the instrument by the performer.
