Each year, the Margitsziget Open-Air Theatre commemorates the Day of National Cohesion with a large-scale gala event. This national day of remembrance, observed on 4 June, marks the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Trianon and was officially established by the Hungarian Parliament on 31 May 2010. For 15 years, this significant occasion has been celebrated in collaboration with the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2026, the concert is presented in cooperation with the Cziffra Festival.
The concert’s soloists:
János Balázs, a Kossuth Prize and Ferenc Liszt Prize-winning pianist and artistic director of the Cziffra Festival, who is a leading figure in the classical music world thanks to his virtuosity and charismatic stage presence

The first half of the evening features one of the most beloved works of the Romantic violin repertoire, Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G minor, followed by Franz Liszt’s brilliant Piano Concerto in E-flat major.
